A Painting A Week

Thoughts from the Studio - Art Blog

I've created 'Thoughts from the Studio' to share my thoughts and experiences whilst living, painting and travelling as an artist in Europe.  I also like to dabble in a bit of writing, so here goes..... a new venture!  I welcome any suggestions, comments or feedback from any like-minded people out there.

Here's what I would like to include in Thoughts from the Studio......

PAINTINGS
I'd like to share everything about the process of painting, my painting process, what I choose to paint, how I decide to paint it and why, and the trials and tribulations along the way....... occasionally adding photos of partly completed paintings and comments on what I hope to achieve at the end!

SKETCHING
I'm sure there will be some little tales I can tell about my sketching excursions and whenever I finish the day with something reasonable, it may well find its way onto this blog.

MATERIALS
I'll discuss what materials I'm using and make comments and suggestions on old and new art products.

EXHIBITIONS AND BOOKS
Not a lot of exhibitions I can get to here in Greece, but my recent visit to France should provide some material.  And of course, books, courtesy of mail orders from Amazon.
